Kyna Fong, PhD
Co-Founder & CEO
Guiding the organization as a passionate leader for independent primary care, Kyna Fong co-founded Elation Health in 2010. Fong is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholar in Health Policy at UC Berkeley and UCSF. Fong hold an MS in computer science from Harvard University and a Ph.D in economics from Stanford University.

Nikolaus Trotta
COO & President
Nikolaus Trotta is an accomplished executive with almost two decades of leadership experience in healthcare technology and finance. As COO and president, Trotta is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and success working alongside the executive team as Elation scales. Trotta holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BS from the US Military Academy at West Point.

Kasten is a dynamic senior human resource executive with extensive background and experience directing startups and international HR operations, as well as leading change management, organizational design, employee engagement, diversity, equality and inclusion, talent acquisition, and more.
Lennart Lepner
Chief Financial Officer
Before joining Elation Health, Lennart spent 9+ years at cloud commerce platform company, AppDirect, in various finance leadership positions. Lennart holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in economics and psychology from Amherst College. In his spare time, Lennart is an avid cyclist and tennis player and enjoys exploring the greater Bay Area with his wife and baby boy.

With a 20+ year track record of success and leadership in the healthcare industry, Natt is a seasoned professional at driving growth in the healthcare industry. During his 13-year tenure at athenahealth, Natt spearheaded substantial growth, particularly in leading their Independent Medical Group and Independent Healthcare Enterprise segments.
Amanda Melander
SVP, Head of Marketing
Melander brings more than two decades of marketing experience working across multiple business and consumer brands. Previously, Melander served as head of global demand generation at athenahealth, having led a variety of marketing functions during her more than a decade’s long work at the company.
Seth Cedars
General Counsel
Prior to joining Elation Health, Seth spent a year at San Francisco-based startup, Capella Space, supporting corporate legal and regulatory licensing and compliance functions; and 9 years at Healthgrades, the largest online marketplace helping consumers find their best healthcare. Cedars received his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.

Previously with Location Labs by Avast, where he started as an engineer and advanced to serve as VP of Product and Operations across 13 years. BS degree in molecular biology (immunology) from University of California, Berkeley.

Sara J. Pastoor, MD, MHA
Head of Primary Care Advancement
Elation’s leader in primary care advocacy, Dr. Pastoor is board-certified and a clinically-active family medicine physician. As an experienced primary care innovator in military medicine, academic medicine, private practice, Dr. Pastoor is a primary care champion. Dr. Pastoor received her MD from Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences and MHA from Trinity University.
