Holding true to our focus on “Clinical First,” here at Elation we’ve been hard at work crafting an experience to accommodate coding in ICD-10 with minimal impact to our providers and staff. Your time and attention should always be on your patients, and not on the tedium of coding.

Here’s what you can expect. In the first week of September, the Problem List will be updated to support coding in ICD-10. We’re upgrading the diagnosis search tool to make it easy and painless to find the right ICD-10 codes for new problems, as well as quickly update existing problems from ICD-9 to ICD-10 coding. We’re making these upgrades available early to give the Elation community the opportunity to get ahead on adding ICD-10 codes to their Problem Lists, and get familiar with the new and improved diagnosis search tool.

Later in September, we will update the visit note billing section, all order forms, and PMS interfaces (AccuQuik, AdvancedMD, Akamai, Cal-Med, Kareo) to support the inclusion of ICD-10 codes; that way, you can submit claims with confidence upon the October 1 compliance deadline.
