Elation Health is excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned partners page. We’ve reimagined this page to make it easier than before to locate and find information about the dozens of partners that work with Elation’s Clinical First platform.

At Elation, we know that an electronic health record (EHR) is a vital tool for an independent physician to have to keep track of patient information. At the same time, we understand the importance of keeping our EHR connected, so that it is even more useful to practices and patients. To that end, we partner with a number of laboratories and software vendors to provide an integrated, comprehensive solution for any independent physician’s practice.

Elation’s partners include practice management systems, clinical data partners, imaging centers, laboratories, interfaces, and additional vendors and software partners. Our API and HL-7 capabilities power this ecosystem of connected tools that can help facilitate coordinated care at your independent practice.

We are pleased to highlight each of these healthcare-focused organizations on our website, as they are integral to providing the connectivity that is so important to the effective use of EHRs.

Why is it important to have a connected EHR?

An Clinical First, connected EHR provides many benefits within a practice. Physicians and clinical staff can enter and review patient notes during the visit quickly and efficiently, so that more time can be spent with the patient. The accessibility of the patient’s medical information enables the staff’s encounters with the patient at that particular facility to be more effective.

Many independent practices have more than one location, though. In addition, a significant number of patients see multiple physicians and may also require tests and prescriptions. To ensure the highest quality of care delivery in these situations, those practices’ EHRs must be connected. Otherwise, each provider or facility may be viewing a different set of patient data from a different perspective.

As the Office of Health Information Technology (IT) points out, “the health care team’s view of the patient can become fragmented into disconnected facts and clusters of symptoms.” A connected EHR system enables all providers caring for a patient to improve information sharing and to improve the quality of care they provide that patient.
